Other Stanford Offices
ICO is one of a number of offices at Stanford responsible for contracting with outside entities. ICO works closely with other Stanford administrative offices to ensure compliance with internal policy and federal regulations.
CFR – Corporate and Foundation Relations fosters donor relationships between Stanford and companies and private foundations.
CT-RMG The Clinical Trials Research Management Group handles agreements for industry clinical trials at Stanford.
EH&S – Environmental Health & Safety (including Administrative Panel on Biosafety- APB) establishes policy and handles training for the use of biohazardous agents at Stanford.
ERA – Engineering Research Administration manages pre- and post-award research administration for the School of Engineering.
Business Affairs includes Risk Management, Business Development, and Information Security offices.
OOD – The Office of Development handles donations and gifts to Stanford.
OGC – The Office of General Counsel provides legal advice and guidance to all Stanford academic and administrative units.
OSR – The Office of Sponsored Research is part of the Office of Research Administration (ORA) and handles research agreements with non-industry sponsors.
OTL – The Office of Technology Licensing is responsible for technology transfer of Stanford inventions and innovations through licensing and strategic alliances with industry.
Privacy Office handles policies and practices to safeguard personal and other non-public information, and is a division of the Office of Audit, Compliance and Privacy.
Procurement handles purchasing of goods and services with outside suppliers.
PMO - The Property Management Office administers equipment and other property.
RCO – The Research Compliance Office includes APLAC, IRB, and SCRO panels for the review of animal, human subjects and stem cell research.
RMG – The Research Management Group handles School of Medicine grants, proposals and budget development.
SRM – Sponsored Receivables Management is responsible for invoicing and receivables accounting for sponsored projects, clinical trials and certain other university operations.
VPDoR – The Vice Provost and Dean of Research office is responsible for university research policies, including conflict of interest and export controls, and oversees independent labs, institutes and centers.
