In accordance with Stanford University’s 2021 Winter Closure, the Industrial Contracts Office (ICO)  will close starting at 5:00 pm, Friday, December 17, 2021, and re-open at 8:00 am, Monday, January 3, 2022.  ICO team members will not be available during Winter Closure.

Please note that Sponsored Research Agreements must be signed no later than 5:00 pm, Thursday, December 9, 2021 to ensure that account set-up can occur before Winter Closure. Also, we cannot guarantee that any MTA or other research agreement submitted after November 15, 2021 will be finalized prior to the Winter Closure, due to volume. If your matter is urgent, please indicate the deadline and reason for it in correspondence with the assigned contract officer or in the intake form. Thank you!

Types of Agreements ICO Handles

ICO is authorized to negotiate and sign two main categories of agreements:

  1.  Agreements with for-profit companies to further research, both funded and unfunded; and
  2. All material transfer agreements to further research, with both for-profit and non-profit organizations.

Other offices at Stanford handle different categories of research-related agreements, depending on the sponsor type and agreement type.
